PfC Conference at the Norwegian Opera and Ballet

Since its beginning, PfC has held an annual PfC Conference in Oslo to share knowledge on social innovation, venture philanthropy and impact investment.

At PfC Conferences, we bring innovators and organisations that have substantial positive impact, with the purpose to inspire more people, businesses and organizations to take part in the paradigm shift that is needed to build a more equal, balanced and sustainable world. Each conference includes plenary talks, workshops, and panel discussions; providing 300+ participants with networking opportunities. More information can be found here.

The first, Conference 2011focused on the Social entrepreneur as a Change Agent in Nordic countries, societies where the trust between government and private business has been strong for decades, and where cooperation has a long tradition.

Conference 2012 focused on Dignity and Empowerment. Speakers and panelists represented a wide variety of individuals and businesses, from young activists to highly influential global leaders, and from well established global industry to small start-up companies.

Conference 2013 titled Empowering Youth, engaged critical questions we face as we strive to move forward towards building a healthier planet. How do we unleash the inherent potential in this generation? How do we empower them to help shape a sustainable and stable future? Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette Marit’s Foundation and Partnership for Change jointly organized the 2013 conference.

Conference 2014, Turning the Tide – Methods for Lasting Social Impact, received substantial media coverage and positive reviews. Among the 50 speakers from business, politics and civil society were Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Leymah Gbowee, youth activist Hannah Godefa and State Secretary Laila Bokhari.

Conference 2015 Turning the Tide – Together for a Sustainable Future, was the fifth conference and was arranged together with NEXUS. More than 250 eager participants took part in plenary and parallel sessions on various topics including women empowerment, sustainable cities, the role of diaspora groups in shaping peaceful shared societies and many more.
